Assessment Tools

Our validated patient-reported outcome measures, or PROMs, have been utilised in research all over the world. With these tools, research and clinical practice prioritise the patient perspective and ensure the patient voice is heard.

At this time our library consists of two clinically validated tools in a range of languages:

The RUTIIQ is an 18-item Patient-Reported Outcome (PRO) measure (or PROM) for evaluating the psychosocial impact of living with recurrent urinary tract infection (rUTI). Assessing five key domains of quality of life, the RUTIIQ capably facilitates clinicians and researchers in capturing the patient perspective of living with rUTI, enhancing patient-centred care through standardised monitoring of rUTI patient outcomes, and identifying potential areas for intervention.

The RUTISS is a brief Patient-Reported Outcome (PRO) Measure (or PROM) for evaluating the patient experience of recurrent urinary tract infection (rUTI) symptom severity. Developed for clinical and research application, this 15-item questionnaire has excellent reliability and validity in assessing patient-reported rUTI symptom and pain severity. The RUTISS facilitates a fuller picture of the rUTI patient experience than clinical assessment alone, via rapid standardised evaluation of key rUTI symptoms.
